Be sure to thank your interviewer
If you want to impress the interviewer, consider dropping off a thank-you letter after you complete the interview. Drop the letter off before the day is out and imagine the look on the employer's face when he/she opens a letter that expresses how much you enjoyed the interview. It works because that letter shows how much you care about the job and the time that your interviewer took to be with you. You can also send an email, but emails are not very personal and easier to do. Show the extra effort and people will notice. Check out the sample After Interview Thank-you Letter for a sense of what this thing should look like.
